The fourth pre-production test abroad:
The Kenya Test, March 1963
#1. Super Minx with a flat tyre
Imp spares removed from the Super Minx boot to get at the spare wheel.
Garry W.: the front wishbone and rear suspension probably got used somewhere along the line...
#2. WHS 156 & WHS 157 and three engineers
Photo developed in London, not in Nairobi like the others.
#3. Kenneth S.: Vic Gorman on the right and I believe Stewart Peck (Pressed Steel) on the left
#4. Kenneth S.: Bill Mair of Woodhead Monroe
#5. G. Walker comment: Game Warden to keep us honest
#6. Richard Puxted [see: personnel]
#7. KS: Vic Gorman; GW: Derek Sleath
#8. Ken Sharpe
#9. KS: The Super Minx bogged down in Amboseli National Park. The Imps were much less prone to getting stuck in the mud than the Super Minx.
We used the Amboseli N.P. because there was very fine dust enabling dust entry and air cleaner tests to be carried out. It wasn't all mud!!
