Not Anders Bilidt's Sunbeam Imp Sport, but of a friend of his...

Anders Bilidt wrote in my Site Evaluation guestbook on Wednesday, September 3rd 2008, saying he "bought Gary Hardings' lilac / mauve 1973 Sunbeam Imp Sport back in 2001 while I was studying in Oxford."

"I stripped the car to bare-metal and with the help of Imptechnics had the car totally restored to its former glory. Everything was kept original with the exception of 12" Minilites (not replicas) and a leather Motolita steering wheel - both being period upgrades.
Anyway, in 2002 I brought my little Imp back to Denmark (where I come from), planning to register her there. I even sent the engine and box Malcom Anderson for a complete overhaul to original spec. A lot of money was spent and the result stunning!! The little Imp Sport was now exactly like I wanted it - looking flawless inside and outside and delivering a just as impressive drive.
However lack of work - and therefore money - meant I was unfortunately forced to sell my Imp in 2004 which was certainly not part of the original plan. She went to a good friend of mine living in southern Denmark who still has her in his garage next to a mint Karmann Ghia and a Morris 1000 Super. However he has never registered the car and therefore also never driven it.
I have tried several times to convince him to let me buy it back, but without much luck..."
