Hello to all,
My name is Tim and I'm in Australia. I run a web site and have started an Australian Imp Register. I just wanted to let everyone know how many Imps I've Found Down Under.
So far I have received paperwork on 28 Imps thats just under half of Imps I know about. It's a long slow process but well worth the effort. I've talked to many Imp owners as well. I would love to hear for anyone with a "Down Under Imp" Story or Two (Or Pictures), These would be put on my web page.
Best Of Luck to all Impers World Wide

Hi Paul,
"
I live in South Africa and own a Singer Chamois Coupe. Over here it is almost impossible to obtain any spares for Imps, ( I know of only about 10-12 Imps in the country in total ) and would therefore like to inquire as to the feasibility of export to SA.
My Singer at present is being rolled around on a set of Ford rostyle rims that the previous owner hacked with a file to fit the 4" PCD. I have not been able to source any suitable rims, and since my car is nearing the end of it's total rebuild I really need to procure a set of rims. What price are you looking at for your 6 Minilites, and what would transport to SA typically come to? I am getting really desperate for wheels!

Henk,
That was a prompt reply!
I have spoken to an Air freight agent and they charge $5.00 Australian per Kilo and a $35.00 handling fee for delivery to Johanesburg.. There is a variance in freight fees of between ten cents and fourty cents for Durban or Capetown.
I shall weigh a rim and get in touch with a freight quotation. The rims in question have been redrilled professionally to the Imp PCD.
I really do not have any idea as to what to charge for the rims, would you care to make an offer. I feel sure that we can negotiate a reasonable price between us - I would rather they went to another Imp enthusiast rather than remain dormant in my garage.
Regards

Hi Henk,
I have weighed a rim this morning and they are exactly 4.9 kg each. I shall leave it to you to calculate freight amount.
Please let me know if you decide to buy or not buy the rims.
