Hey all.

Well I finally got another email. I don't know what the story is, but its not good (from where I am sitting) If I have missed any important emails (or you think I have) please send them straight to me, I have only had 3-4 emails from here in about 5 days.

I have just published a page to the net about my Imps. If anyone is interested please go to http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~kbarlow its my first page so it is rough, and lots to be added yet. If anyone wants a link put on there please let me know, and if you think its ok and want to link it from your pages, please do.

Regards Kenneth

Kenneth,

Read last week that Lledo had made a new die-cast model. They mentioned some new models and with the Imp they put "the nearly extinct" to it. I havenot actually seen the model so donot know how it looks.

I have sent some messages in the last 4 days (I received roughly 7, I think).

Regards
Pieter

The Lledo model is one of their Vanguards series. The series has been running for a couple of years - I've got a number of the Anglias and the quality is good.
They come with separate wing-mirrors which you need to glue on and a set of number plates to choose from. Also a card with details of the car.

I believe the Imp will be released in June or July and will be red. In the U.K. the Vanguards usually retail for about £10.

Bert,

Yes, they're the same size as the Dinkies. I think it's 1:43 scale.

I'm looking forward to the Imp being released, but I don't know how I'm going to find room for it ;-)

Anne,

That was quick. Reading your mail it seems to me that the Imp is a real "hebbedingetje" (thingy-to-have). What's (L) ? UKP ?, anyway the price is better than for Corgi or Dinky models and you could buy 2 easily and preserve one (in it's original box ofcourse) for the furure. Or am I getting carried away now ?

Kenneth,

You probably also saw the archive Franka is keeping of messages sent ? There you can see whether you missed out anything and always have the possibility to re-read mails on specific subject.

Pieter,

For me, yes the Imp model is the thing to have. I collect Imp models and I've got most of the Corgi and Dinky ones. I've even got one of the new, very expensive ones, which I bought through Impressions. And I've got the pewter one that the Imp Club sell.

Depending on where you buy them - car shows, toy fairs, shops - you can pay different prices for the toys. I usually don't pay much more than 10 UKP for a second-hand model - it depends how keen I am to get that particular model.

Buying two models does seem a bit extreme, but when I buy the new ones I'm keeping the boxes so they could go back in if necessary. And of course, they don't get played with - although my canary did sit on the bonnet of a police Imp the other day ;-)

I'm always on the look-out for models that I haven't already got so if anyone has any they don't want please let me know. I'm particularly interested in the very tiny plastic Imps or there's a larger plastic blue Californian which would be nice to have.

At least the models are easier to collect than the cars themselves.

Anne

There is a problem with that. I don't have any plastic, do you have an international account number I could use, and how much are they?

Hummm. I could give you an account number, but I wouldn't call it International.
They will be £12 plus the difference in postage above the UK rate.
