Hi Impers,
Does anyone of you know a good source for trim fasteners. I need plastic fasteners for the stainless steel Stiletto trim around the windows and the wide alu strip on the front. Also I need plastic tubes which hold the Sunbeam badges in place.
Thanks in advance
Bert

Bert,
I found that my local small motor shop sold an assortment of clips to hold trim on. I only got the ones for the chrome side strips though. For the front wing shaped badges I slid 2 pieces of PCB onto each strip with a small countersunk 6BA screw though the PCB, this could be slid along and moved up and down in the hole to align each of the strips.
Never an easy answer is there?

Bert,
I got some Ford plastic clips at an autojumble for the side chrome trim.
For the front I made my own by cutting some thin copper sheet to the corrsct size and soldering a brass bolt to it, you can do this as you have access to the other side. as there is access to the front I used shrink wrap tubing on the pins of the sunbeam badge and again this seems to have worked o.k.
The plastic Ford clips that I found came from an autojumble stand so had no part number with them. They were like large plastic pop-rivets. The one clip that I had to reuse was the metal clips holing the curved aluminium srip round the back pillar, the plastic strips were not up to holding this curved shape in place.
