I want a decent cam, does anyone have an R17, R20 for sale.

Also the valve clearances stated on Franka's page. Which is which, i.e. is the 14 thou for exhaust or inlet.

I always set my 360 lift cams at 7 thou inlet and 14 thou exhast, number one inlet is the most critical one to set, as the camshaft timimg is normally set from this valve

Which reminds me ; My trick for to set the timing was when the head was off measure the specfied lift using a micrometer caliper or a depth gauge, lock the cam in position using mole grips then scribe a lene on the boss at the end of the shaft and a matching one on the cam carrier bearing. Then when the head was it was just a question of lining the two up, settting the crank to TDC and finding the right hole in the vernier sprocket.
