I've had the following query emailed to me, and I don't know myself. Anyone got any ideas?

>I'm looking for a new sintered clutch plate. I think I've got one
>amongst my own stock, but I'm ******** if I can lay my hands on
>it. Can you suggest a source ? Alternatively, is a Ford or BMC
>part interchangeable ?

I'm using a whole Morrie-Thou/Triumph Spitfire/G.k.w. 6.25" release-lever setup right now as totally satisfactory replacement for the @#$%^!! silly 5.5" original; a spare engine I rescued from a wreck has the same. So I suspect that most small N-S-engined Brits would be compatible. (full-race 1293 A40 Farinas etc.)

Forget BMC E-W clutch setups - they have an enormous centre-hole so the whole transmission can disappear in a famous way (blue flash optional).

No need for a scintered clutch just a heavy duty presure plate and a Quinton Hazel solid driven plate works really well even with 123 horse power and slicks.
If you really want a scintered clutch try Lockheed competition department or Demon Tweeks -- it was the same clutch used in the days of 1000cc F3.
