As modern methods of production become more and more automated, so the human aspects of industry become more important.

The first-class working conditions are a striking feature of the Linwood factory. The workshops are spacious, brightly lit, well ventilated and heated.

Care has been taken to provide the fullest facilities for Rootes personnel.
Both the Unit Machine Shop and Car Assembly are served by their own Amenities Block, containing the Works Surgery, toilets, showers, and locker accomodation (one locker per man). There are elegant self-service works canteens and two staff restaurants. The Die-Casting Plant also has its own canteen.

Special training schemes have been introduced for supervisors, operators and apprentices, and among all personnel in all sections there is a buoyant sense of participation and achievement.
