Hillman Imp de Luxe  

wide doors that open wide; seats covered with AMBLA artificial leather, modeled after the body's shape; fold down the rear seat and you have 500ltr luggage space.
The opening front quarter vents distinguish the De Luxe version. They can be swivelled wide for maximum ventilation.

Four cylinder overhead camshaft unit positioned at rear of car. Extensive use of aluminium alloy die-castings for light construction. Solex downdraught carburettor.
Bore and Stroke 2.677 in. (68 mm.), 2.377 in. (60.375 mm.). Cubic capacity 53.41 in. (875 c.c.).
Compression ratio 10 : 1 (8 : 1 available for certain overseas territories).
Engine develops maximum 42 b.h.p. at 5,000 r.p.m. and 55.6 lb.ft. maximum torque at 2,800 r.p.m.

      Quatre cylindres, arbre à cames en tête, placé à l'arrière. Moteur en alliage d'aluminium. Carburateur inversé Solex.
