Oil pressure relief valve
Do not remove or blank off
Minimum bore of outlet on tank is 0.560 diameter - very important
Use 5/8" bore oil hose to connect to engine
Keep hose as short as possible
Oil tank level to be 19" above base flange of cylinder block
Oil tank must have a ƒ " bore breather fitted ti it, as this is the only breather
Breather pipe to catch tank
Important
Engine must be run-up slowly until oil is very warm. This will ensure that main oil pump does not cavitate and loose pressure as it will with high revs and cold oil.
Lubricate engine before starting:
Remove spark plugs
Turn engine over with starter until oil pressure shows.
Then re-fit plugs.
Then start.
Do not flood upright engines when starting
Ignition
Set at 4,000 rpm+
For max advance adjust distributor with clamp just loosened - re-clamp or re-fit small plate etc.
Don't forget to grease distributor (1 shot) each day
